Tales Without Borders: International TTRPG Night In-Person
Come join Cook Library and To The Top TTRPG Club for Tales Without Borders: International TTRPG Night. It will be a fun time roleplaying and telling stories together. Light snacks and beverages will be provided.
Here are the TTRPGS that will be running:
- Grandma's Drinking Song: A game written about the Jewish diaspora during the prohibition era in the US. You write a song together as a group that's a "family drinking song" based around the roleplay scene you're participating in. It's from Doikayt: A Jewish TTRPG Anthology and is run with 4 players.
- Diàn Xīn (电心) Electric Heart: A cyberpunk TTRPG trying to survive in a world that doesn't want you to thrive, without losing your sense of self worth or your will to keep going. It explores the cyberpunk genre through a Chinese diaspora lens. It is run with 4-6 players.
- This Body of Mine, I Will Make it a Temple: A solo roleplaying game led by a game master for a group of players. It's an allegorical exploration of being trans and coming to terms with your body. Written to be an exercise in self-reflection and meditation through a fictional lens, and instead of dice you play with tarot cards.
- The Librarian's Apprentice: A solo journaling roleplay game. Your task is designed to test your skills at traversing the Library and finding information. Retrieve the six documents requested by your Librarian before the day is out and you will have completed one more step on your journey.
